Following Life's Sacred Thread

A contemplative retreat exploring "Who am I?" and "What am I here for?"

August 24 - 26

The Hermitage, Three Rivers, Michigan

I like to think of every person’s being linked to God from the morning of birth to the night of [her] death by an invisible thread, a thread which is unique for each one of us, a thread which can never be broken. Never broken or taken away, but a thread which can easily slip from our grasp and, search for it as we may, elude us…To be on our thread is to be in touch with the [True] Self.

Join Us For a Spiritual Direction Retreat

Come and claim your own sacred thread and follow it back to its source in God, your sanctuary of Original Blessing. Come and discern how it draws you forward into humble and courageous presence in the tapestry of life. Along the way, unwind and/or incorporate the knots and tangles that inevitably result from an active life.

Our time together will include invitations (never demands) to explore your thread through conversation and quiet, community (space is limited to 12 participants) and solitude, reflection, contemplation, dreamwork, creative expression, teachings, individual spiritual direction, and time in nature.

Our setting for this retreat is The Hermitage, situated amidst over 60 acres of hiking trails that weave through forest and meadow and include ponds and two outdoor labyrinths. Healthy and delicious homecooked meals, a quiet chapel and rich library make The Hermitage a favorite sanctuary of refreshment for many.
